Ten Things I Am Thankful For
Posted By FarmerJ on May 4, 2011
I am incredibly rich with blessings ~ and I am extremely grateful for each of them. I thought I’d share just a few…in no particular order.
1. My Beloved Husband ~ I will never be able to express enough gratitude for my most wonderful, compassionate husband who is intelligent, witty, fun-loving, patient and humble, and who is an incredible father, leader, teacher, friend…and fix-it man.
2. My Will to Live ‘Free’ ~ I am so thankful for my will to ‘just be me’; neither desire nor care to live my life, raise my children, or dress according to the latest fad or book that made the Top Ten Sellers’ list; never worrying about trying to fit under some worldly label. Nope. Given the choice of ‘Insert Whatever Here for Dummies’ or the Holy Bible, I’ll choose to strive to live my life as He would have me and forget about the rest.
3. Two Teenage Boys ~ Praise God for our two boys who are better teenagers than I ever was! Are they perfect? Absolutely not! But, they certainly are making better choices as young adults than I did at that age ~ and they are making our job as parents a lot easier than what I put my parents through. [Sorry, Mom!]
4. Parents Who Love(d) Me Unconditionally ~ See above. That’s all I have to say about that.
5. My Bread Machine ~ What a blessing that shiny white ‘box’ is to me…it makes me look good in the kitchen! I am able to so easily whip up homemade bread and the dough for hoagies, rolls and pizza.
6. Gourmet Jelly Beans ~ I am thankful they are so outrageously priced. It’s the only thing that keeps me from living entirely on them…well, and my popcorn. Gotta have my popcorn.
7. Three Absolutely Attitudinal Fur Babies ~ The little dog has to do everything the big dog does, whether it’s right or wrong. The big dog takes on habits of the little dog, even if she’s too big for some of those habits. The cat, well, she just scowls at all of it. ‘Stupid canines.’
8. Sunshine ~ It takes the chill off, and it does wonders for the mental stamina.
9. True Friends ~ Something that sadly is becoming more and more difficult to come by these days. Praise God and hold on tight when you find one!
10. Jesus Christ My Savior ~ For without Him, I am nothing. Void.
…and, of course, I am so thankful for those of you who visit and leave a hug to let us know you were here. ♥

Pray tell! Cinco-de-Mayo tomorrow…remember all of the memories there?
Your Dad and Mom did the best we could through thick and thin…we created two beautiful children and two wonderful Grand sons…so I am really happy that after all of these years, the next generation will carry on…can’t get rid of our stamina!
I can not be more thankful that I have the two most awsome children in the world…God has surely blessed us with a wonderful family!
Canines? I could NOT do without the love and attention that they give…they listen to me when I tend to rant and rave…and just look at me and say “Mom, it’s ok”.
Jelly beans? Well, you know that’s my favorite, and I did get to enjoy some too!
Sunshine? I am beginning to wonder what that is…is it something that is suppose to warm the body?
Friends? They are definately far and few between…we must hang onto them when they cross our paths!
Till we meet again…I know the Angels keep ringing their own!
Hug J. You definitely light up the web.
