Our Daily Bread: 21 – 27 December

Posted By on December 22, 2009

I know, I know.  I’m a day late and a light bulb short.

Monday ~ Tamales; Broccoli

Tuesday ~ Sloppy Joes; Coleslaw; Baked Beans

Wednesday ~ Pork Chops; Sweet Potatoes; Sugar Snap Peas; Drop Biscuits

Thursday ~ Beef Stir Fry over Jasmine Rice or Fun Finger Foods (I haven’t talked to Darling Husbie yet to see which he would prefer.)

Christmas Day ~ Honey Baked Ham; Cheesy Garlic Mashed Potatoes; Butternut Squash; Green and Wax Beans with Bacon and Onion; Cranberry Cream Cheese Pull Aparts

Saturday ~ Quesadillas

Sunday ~ Beef Stew

We’ll have plenty of appetizers both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ~ and Darling Husbie has placed an order for a couple Boston Marrow ‘Pumpkin’ Pies.  I think I might make one Boston Marrow and one Sweet Potato pie…and then I still have some apples that need transformed into a pie, as well.  And then, there’s the fabulous Mexican Fruit Cake that will serve as Jesus’ birthday cake.  Oh, don’t forget about the Christmas cookies, either!

Wishing each of you a very blessed Christmas season ~ may you find peace, comfort and joy through His love!
